Who we are

This site and the Not Another Church Marketing Conference ("NACMC") are operated by Chris Mefford LLC ("we," "us," "our"). We act as the data controller for personal information collected through this site.

What we collect

Application data: name, email, phone, church name and website, role, years of experience, and free-text answers you submit on the Apply form.
Account data: email and authentication credentials if you sign in.
Order data: name, email, and billing details you provide at checkout. Payment card details are collected directly by Paddle and are never stored by us.
Support messages: anything you send us by email.
Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and basic usage/telemetry needed to operate the site.

How we use it

To review applications and communicate decisions.
To provide the conference and related services you sign up for.
To operate, secure, and improve the site and prevent fraud.
To respond to support requests.
To send transactional email (application updates, invites, receipts). We do not send marketing email without your consent.

Legal basis

We process personal data to perform a contract with you (e.g. handling your application or ticket), for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, to comply with legal obligations, and — where required — with your consent.

Who we share it with

Paddle.com Market Ltd is our Merchant of Record. When you buy a ticket, Paddle handles payment, billing, tax, invoicing, and refunds and receives the personal data needed to do so. See Paddle's Privacy Notice.
Service providers that host our site, database, email delivery, and analytics tooling, acting on our instructions.
Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
Authorities where required by law.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Subject to your local law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, request portability, or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email chris@notanotherchurchmarketingconference.com. If you're in the UK/EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers may be located in other countries. Where personal data is transferred out of the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and vetted infrastructure providers — to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate checkout. We may also use basic analytics to understand site usage. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
